The project involved complete reconstruction of 5 traffic signals at TH 100 & TH 7 and TH 100 & Minnetonka Blvd. This work was being done as part of a larger bridge replacement project. This project was also being done under the MnDOT Mentor Protégé Program with SEH. Under this program HZ United was the Prime Consultant and SEH was the sub-consultant. HZ United worked on the 3 traffic signals on Minnetonka Blvd. The scope of work included collecting existing data, field visits, coordinating with power companies, traffic analysis and modeling, pole and footing analysis, civil and electrical engineering design, plan preparation, special provisions cost estimate, and extensive coordination with Hennepin County Traffic Staff, RTMC staff and Metro traffic staff.
